Certification Guarantees Interoperability Between Psion Teklogix Rugged Mobile Computers and AirVersent's 20/20 Delivery Mobile Supply Chain Software
Owing Mills, MD & Cincinnati - AirVersent, a global leader in providing visibility and control across the mobile supply chain, and Psion Teklogix, Inc., a global provider of wireless computing solutions, today announced the successful certification and integration of AirVersent's 20/20 Delivery® mobile supply chain software with Psion Teklogix' rugged handheld computers. The device certification ensures that the Windows Mobile-based handheld computers will support all the features of the 20/20 Delivery product.
In order to meet AirVersent's certification process, Psion Teklogix' handheld computers were put through more than 150 test cases that include verification of the following features and functionality:
- Basic application functionality (Perform Stops, Manage Route, Messaging, Activities, etc.)
- Data Synchronization (Admin, Init, Finalize, OTA, Vehicle, Departure Reconcile)
- Local Area Network (LAN) Connectivity (802.11/WiFi and Ethernet Cradle)
- Dispatched orders
- Mobile Forms
- Software updates via Afaria
20/20 Delivery significantly increases management's visibility into all aspects of delivery, pickup, cross-dock and backhaul operations. Return on Investment (ROI) is rapid because costs savings occur in many areas and include a reduction in billing cycles, inventory shrinkage and errors, improved driver performance and efficient transfer of time-sensitive data.
"After going through our strenuous certification process, Psion Teklogix' mobile handheld computers passed with flying colors - once again living up to their reputation for true ruggedness," said James Wee, Senior VP of Sales & Business Development at AirVersent. "We are pleased with the results. This certification will not only expand our customer base, but will provide our customers with confidence in deploying a comprehensive mobile solution that increases business efficiency and productivity."
"Like Psion Teklogix, AirVersent has a proven track record of success, with more than a decade of experience providing global companies with feature-rich, easy-to-deploy solutions for their field mobility needs," said Mike Jachimiec, Vice President of Channel Sales, Psion Teklogix, Inc. "We believe the interoperability between Psion Teklogix' rugged mobile handheld computers and AirVersent's 20/20 Delivery is a perfect fit to meet our customers' needs of improving response time and operational efficiency while in the field."
Combining the industry's toughest handheld computers with sophisticated software that seamlessly integrates back office operations provides customers significant improvements in billing cycles, fleet efficiency, worker productivity and customer satisfaction.
