Revolutionary Patient Centered Platform Key to Accountable Care Organizations

HKS Medical Information Systems (HKS), an Omaha-based clinical information systems software company, announced September 30, 2011 that it was acquired by an investment group led by Argenta Partners LP, and associates, of Dallas, TX. Effective October 1, Louis E. Halperin was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Paul A. Markham Chief Operating Officer, with Paul H. Kenyon continuing in the role of Chief Technology Officer. This investment has resulted in an exciting recapitalization of HKS that provides the company additional resources to expand customer relationship management, new product development, professional services and customer support. The core focus of HKS will continue to be the unique requirements of hospital Transplant centers to manage the complex care of their patients. HKS will enrich the current Organ Transplant Tracking Record (OTTR) platform by enhancing existing interfaces to electronic medical record systems (EMR), Lab Systems, Clinical Systems, and mission critical registries. These activities will extend the impact of HKS and OTTR across the transplant enterprise specifically targeted at addressing the need for physician acceptance and utilization of advanced Information Technology.
