ibml recently announced that EvriChart, Inc., a medical records management center based in White Sulphur Springs, WV, reduced its labor and capital expenses by replacing three legacy scanners with one ibml ImageTrac 3e-Lite. EvriChart uses the ImageTrac 3e-Lite to scan and convert paper records into electronic patient records.

EvriChart chose the ImageTrac 3e-Lite because of its ability to effectively scan the different colored sheets frequently contained in patient medical records as well as the light-colored ink on some records. EvriChart's legacy scanners provided poor image quality for this type of work, requiring operators to photocopy documents to create a "best copy" for re-scanning. Designed to support high-volume color scanning, ibml's ImageTrac eliminates this step.
