Well, 2012 is upon us and healthcare providers are now required to use the new HIPAA 5010 transaction standards.

Even though much testing has likely been done leading into the new year, the coming months will prove how all the systems you have in place comply with 5010. The likely scenario though is that many providers will face some issues that will need to be addressed in order to optimize HIPAA 5010 compliance.
