Medical Group Increases Cash Collections With Clinically Driven RCM And Integrated EHR
After years of outsourcing its billing and cash collections to a local service provider, St. Luke’s Cornwall Medical Group wasn’t happy with its financial results. Problems with cash collections, denial management and customer service plagued the SLCMG business office. Not surprisingly, the organization also had ongoing problems getting claims out the door on time.
With eight locations, 13 physicians and two nurse practitioners, the medical group was poised for growth when its leaders embarked on a search for an electronic health record (EHR) and revenue cycle management (RCM) solution. “We needed an aggressive RCM to make sure we were getting paid for the services our physicians were providing,” said Stephen Heath, director of Network and Practice Management.
