In response to the question of what specific success stories can you reference in your experience helping the DoD implement its EHR platforms, Portela says "We had instances where several DoD hospitals measured the time that the nurses spent on documentation within the intensive care units. In a place like Baptist Health Care in Florida, they went from 4 minutes on every round to 20 seconds. That gives you more time to spend with the patient and hopefully improve the quality of patient care."
